Your chance to join the AVA board

The Automatic Vending Association (AVA) has invited nominations for board members.

Throughout the pandemic the AVA has tried to keep its members fully up to date with the information and support needed to address business challenges – work which has been has been aided by the experienced input of board members.

The Board elections, like many others, were deferred for 12 months last year but there are now four positions due for election in May as part of the usual cycle. Some of the current board members have put their names forward for re-consideration as part of the election process, but under the AVA’s Articles of Association it should provide all members with the opportunity to step forward if they would like to participate.

These positions are:2 x machines & components representatives:
Gillian White, Crane Merchandising Systems Ltd / CPi and Richard Gilbert, Excalibur Refreshed Ltd
1 x commodities representative: Robert Gormley, Nestlé Professional
1 x vending operator representative: Diane Hunter, Apple Vending Ltd

If the company you represent is a full member of the AVA, you can apply for one of these voluntary positions on the AVA Board. It meets four times a year and helps to shape and guide the workings of the AVA to ensure that member interests are best served.

To stand for election to the board, simply complete and return the nomination form. An election will then take place for any vacancy where there is more than one candidate.

The nomination form can be found on the AVA website here

The closing date for applications is 21st May 2021.
