The Vendies, formerly the Vending Industry Awards, is the prestigious awards gala dinner for the vending and water industry, designed to recognise and reward the success, innovation and technology of the past twelve months.
Organised by Datateam Business Media in conjunction with Vending International – the UK’s only magazine for the vending industry – The Vendies is now in its fifth year, and is an established and beloved fixture on the industry calendar. As in past years, it will provide a fantastic networking opportunity for everyone in the industry, as well as recognising and rewarding the top achievers in the sector over the past year.
New categories
The 2017 Vendies sees the return of the Operator Categories, alongside the established Supplier Categories – plus, of course, the prestigious Vending Industry Lifetime Achievement Award.
In response to feedback from the industry, organiser Datateam Business Media has introduced a number of new categories for this year’s awards. The categories have been designed to allow entrants to truly demonstrate the innovation and ingenuity of this vibrant industry, as well as being representative of the size and breadth of the sector.
Marketing Campaign of the Year: This category is for vending operators in the UK, aimed at companies that have shown creativity and passion in their marketing efforts, using a range of mediums and platforms to raise the profile of their business within their sector.
Customer Service Award – Operator & Supplier: With categories for both Operators and Suppliers, this award is aimed at ‘frontline’ staff – individuals and teams that deal with customers on site or on the telephone to problem-solve and give the customer the best possible experience of their company’s services.
Online Initiative of the Year: This award is open to suppliers to the vending and water industry in the UK who have launched an online initiative launched since 1st Janurary 2015. This could be anything from an online marketing campaign to an online customer service portal to an online ordering service.
The categories for Water companies will be announced on 6th March 2017.
