Following the success of last year, The Vendies – organised by the publishers of Vending International, Datateam Business Media – heads to the opulent Café De Paris on Tuesday, June 3, 2020 to continue its longstanding tradition of recognising and rewarding companies and individuals that have made exceptional contributions to the trade – and entries are now open!
The entry stage
Described by some as the Oscars of the Vending Industry, this year, The Vendies boasts several supplier and operator categories.
Entries are completely free and the scheme welcomes both companies and individuals to enter into as many categories as they would like, provided that each entry meets the necessary criteria. At this stage, in the spirit of industry collaboration, professionals are able to nominate another company or outstanding individual for their chance to win a coveted award.
Entries can be submitted via the straightforward online form located on the dedicated awards website. There’s plenty of time to upload an entry, as submissions won’t close until March 2, 2020, but there’s no time like the present!
The decision-making process
The recipients of an esteemed Vendies trophy will be determined by a thorough, two-step process.
After the deadline for submissions closes on Monday, 2 March, 2020, every entry will be assessed in accordance with a strict set of criteria by an experienced panel of expert judges, each chosen for their wealth of knowledge about the sector. The qualifying entries will then be compiled into a shortlist for their respective categories and once the shortlists have been announced, voting will open. Anyone who works within the vending industry, be that multi-national business owner or local venture employee, is welcome to cast their vote.
Although rigorous, transparency and fairness are at the heart of the judging process – there is no room for biases or unfair judgement, just an industry-recognised accolade – a physical symbol of a remarkable achievement.
