Strathmore water to hydrate athletes at IAAF World Indoor Championships Birmingham 2018

After supplying water to the IAAF World Championships London 2017 in August, Strathmore water will now supply bottled water for the IAAF World Indoor Championships Birmingham 2018.

Athletes, officials and volunteers at the event which will be held at Arena Birmingham from March 1 to 4, will be hydrated by more than 60,000 bottles of water being supplied by the water brand.

Championships director, Joan Durose, said:  “We are delighted to have teamed up with Strathmore as the supplier of bottled water.  It is vital for the world-class athletes competing at the Championships and for all those working hard behind the scenes to deliver a successful event, to have easy access to water to stay hydrated throughout this major sports event.”

Adrian Troy, marketing director at A.G. BARR, said: “Our commitment to hydrate the world’s best athletes, volunteers and thousands of passionate spectators aligns with the IAAF’s values and ambition to deliver another highly successful event. It is also another fantastic opportunity to grow Strathmore’s profile and strengthen its position as the water of world-class athletics.”

Strathmore water is bottled at source in the Vale of Strathmore, near Glamis Castle in Scotland and has a long-standing reputation for supplying water to major mass participation events including the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and the IAAF World Championships London 2017.
