Mr Lee’s Pure Foods has announced that founder Damian Lee who has battled cancer over the past six years, has passed away.

A company statement said the announcement was made with “a collective sad and heavy heart”.

It went on… “Damien’s energy, enthusiasm, creativity, his twinkling rebelliousness and his deeply caring nature are an entrenched inspiration to us all.

“His vision and mission for Mr Lee’s to help people to be more healthy through eating better has never been more relevant and motivating. We are deeply committed to fulfil what he began.

“Damien has inspired so many of us… please consider leaving your thoughts or memories via RememberingDamien@mrleesnoodles.com which will be collected in a memoriam page to be accessed on Mr Lee’s website.

Graeme Hossie, co-founder of Mr Lee’s said: “Damien will always be a special part of the many people he so inspired with his courage, resilience, dynamism, endless optimism, buccaneering style and huge huge heart.

“Though his long and several battles with cancer he never stopped being tremendously creative and inspiring, or building relentlessly toward the realisation of his dreams.  He made time for people and was a true friend to everyone. He was extremely proud of how his aspirations to change things for the better are now being realised around the world.

“We will all miss him terribly but also feel very privileged to be part of fulfilling his living and lasting mission to help people eat healthier, better food.”
