Mondelēz wins at Food and Drink Federation Awards

Emma McLeod, Bournville-based RDQ researcher has received the Food and Drink Federation’s Engineer of the Year award for 2020.

Mondelēz International said Emma had proved herself to be an incredible technical ambassador for the UK food and drink industry and had shown this through her valued leadership in the UK’s food engineering agenda, especially regarding digitisation.

At Mondelēz, her combination of global technical leadership and commitment to helping careers grow has seen her become an inspirational technical role model for colleagues, especially for women working in STEM across the company.

Emma commented on her win: “I am honoured to win the Food and Drink Federation’s Engineer of the Year award and I am extremely proud to be recognised for my technical work in the industry. Thank you to the Food and Drink Federation for this award and to everyone who has inspired me and supported me over the years.”

Dr Roger Angold, lead scientific consultant at Reading Scientific Services (RSSL – a subsidiary of Mondelēz International) was honoured for his service to the food science industry, with the Food and Drink Federation’s Lifetime Achievement 2020 award. Over the last 50 years, Dr Angold has created a meticulous legacy of research, setting out fundamental principles that continue to inform key aspects of food product development today.

Campaign of the Year: Mondelēz International – ‘Donate your words’

Food and Drink Engineer of the Year: Emma McLeod – Mondelēz International
