It’s back! The award-winning limited edition Cadbury Twirl Orange single bar returns to the UK following a highly successful launch last year. The product was very popular last year, with vending operators selling through stock quickly and helping to create real excitement in sites.
Cadbury Twirl Orange offers consumers a twist on a favourite brand, combining Cadbury’s No. 1 selling singles SKU with one of the nation’s favourite chocolate flavours. The product is aimed at younger consumers who are seeking new flavours and experiences from their chocolate choices.
Cadbury Twirl Orange will be available for operators to buy from mid-September, with an increase in the number of bars available from last year. However, operators are encouraged to get their orders in early, as demand is expected to be high once more.
Radhika Pai, brand manager for Cadbury Singles at Mondelēz International, explained: “We are excited to bring back limited edition Cadbury Twirl Orange. Our trade partners and consumers made it clear, they love Cadbury Twirl Orange. It was one of the top selling singles NPD of 2019, despite being on sale for only a few weeks.
“It was incremental to the category, attracting younger shoppers and driving category growth of +3.4% at launch. After this overwhelmingly positive response, we had to bring back this much-loved product for our operators and consumers for a set period.”
Natalie Baker, director of Westways Vending, commented on last year’s launch, “We were very excited about the arrival of the limited edition Twirl Orange and it didn’t disappoint! We couldn’t keep up with the demand as they hit our machines. Customers, staff, friends and family loved them and kept asking for more. Twirl Orange was the most talked about confectionery item of the year!”
