Cashless payment provider the Ingenico Group announced that it has provided vending machine operator Dallmayr with self-service contactless payment technologies for its vending machines in the Czech Republic. The current project involves over 50 coffee vending machines equipped with Ingenico contactless terminals deployed throughout the city of Prague. Dallmayr plans to further expand the use of Ingenico technology across Czech Republic in 2017.
The solution includes the iUC180B contactless reader (from the Ingenico iSelf range) which accepts any contactless/NFC cards.
Martina Kirchrathová, Ingenico Group country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, commented: “We are pleased to support Dallmayr in its efforts to make cashless payments on its vending machines simple and secure. Many Czechs prefer contactless technology to cash payments, so we believe the solution deployed by Ingenico will benefit Dallmayr customers.”
Roman Pacolt, sales director of Dallmayr, added: “Our goal is to provide not only quality products, but also improve purchasing experience and speed up transactions. Ingenico’s iUC180B contactless modules bring a very convenient alternative to cash. Field trials have proved that our customers welcome the possibility to pay with their contactless cards. We would like tow extend the solution to other vending machines across Czech Republic.”
