From Avon to Aberdeen, County Durham to Cardiff, snap happy runners-up of Nescafé’s Gold Coast promotion are putting their prize cameras to good use. Created to support operators and end users, as well as drive sales of Nescafé Gold Blend, the promotion has run successfully across the vending sector since March of this year, generating a wave of interest as consumers joined the gold rush to win the holiday of a lifetime.
So far, 25 of the special edition Gold Canon Ixus cameras have been snapped up! And, there are still another 25 to be claimed along with the trip of a lifetime to Australia’s Gold Coast.
A regular visitor to South Hunsley Leisure Centre, primary school teacher Sharron O’Keefe couldn’t believe her luck: “I was watching my son during one of his swimming lessons whilst enjoying a cup of my favourite coffee and I just filled out the form and posted it off – I never expected to win anything!”
“It’s a fantastic competition,” says fellow runner up Susan Bowen from Newcastle upon Tyne. “I like to drink Nescafé Gold Blend every day at work, so I guess my loyalty has paid off!” Taking a break from her role as administration assistant at Robson Laidler Chartered Accountants, Susan is enjoying getting to grips with her brand new digital camera and capturing some golden moments: “My husband and I visited the site of the Angel of the North a few days ago and took lots of great pictures – and I’ll be taking it with me when we do our weekend trips to Dublin and Rome in the next few months!”
But of course, the Gold Rush isn’t over yet! For one lucky customer, the trip of a lifetime is still only a sip away and there are a remaining 25 cameras to be won.
