Finalists announced as voting for this year’s Vendies gets underway

Following a steep increase in entries, the judges have selected their finalists and voting is now open!

The judge’s scores will account for 75% of the outcome, with the industry vote making up the final 25%. More on how it works here.

Do you know an operator that does a fantastic job? A supplier whose products are just so popular that you have to constantly re-stock? Or a company that gives outstanding customer service? Now is the time to shout about it by registering your vote.

Commenting on the importance of the event, which will take place at the Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club on 2 October with an exciting Las Vegas theme, Vending International’s Heather Ramsden says: “The Vendies is a highlight in the vending calendar, where the industry gets together to recognise hard work and innovation.

“For manufacturer/ suppliers or operators, this is the chance to get some well-earned recognition for your achievements throughout the year while enjoying a fun-filled evening among your peers.

“After judging some exceptional entries across the board, I’m looking forward to being at The Vendies for the first time and meeting some of the industry’s key players.”

Judge Brian Tustain agrees: “Throughout my business life, I have always believed that innovation and excellence of individuals and companies should be recognised and acknowledged in some way. The Vendies provide a competitive and public forum for this, recognising and honouring those who succeed. Without such a platform, the vending industry would be a much duller and less ambitious place.  Sadly, I never managed to win a Vendie award – if I had, it would have been a cherished and permanent reminder of achievement.”

Tickets for the Vendies, which include an exclusive drinks reception, three-course meal, entertainment and after dinner networking can be booked here.

Going to The Vendies? Why not enjoy the whole day at the Forest of Arden by attending the EDWCA Business Day and Trade Show?

With exciting speakers, innovative exhibitors and great networking opportunities, it is an excellent precursor to the Gala Awards. With lunch and refreshments offered though the day and all for £25.00 for non-members of the EDWCA, it really is a must.

The trade show is now SOLD OUT of exhibitor places, with a great mix of companies from the water and vending industry looking forward to discussing new opportunities with delegates.
