Evoca announces new HoReCa sales manager

Andrew Barrow is Evoca’s new HoReCa sales manager

Evoca has announced the appointment of Andrew Barrow to the role of HoReCa sales manager. He will replace industry veteran Stephen Parsons.

Andrew brings with him 20 years of experience. He learned his trade with South Coast company Concept Coffee Systems.

“It was a small company, so it was hands on during every part of the process. For six years, I was qualifying leads, making face-to-face sales; setting up leasing agreements, ordering machines; putting them in the back of the car and installing them – the whole thing,” Andrew said. “I can even remember taking a customer’s leasing cheque to the bank. And after that, providing after-sales back up was down to me, too.”

Andrew’s connection with Evoca goes way back “… to my time at my Café Bar when the company was still N&W Global Vending. I know some of the people from back then and I was au-fait with the equipment, so my introduction to the business is not so much a ‘learning curve’ scenario as a ‘hit the ground running’ scenario.”

While the people at Evoca are delighted to welcome Andrew to the team, they are “hugely sorry” to see industry veteran Stephen Parsons depart.

In his three-and-a-half-year spell at Evoca, he played ‘an enormous part’ in re-establishing the Gaggia brand name in the UK, successfully introducing a full suite of commercial espresso machines into the UK – from Rubyto La Reale, to Gaggia’s first-ever super automatic machine,La Radiosa.

Stephen will be leaving Evoca at the end of March, but he refuses to use the “R” word. As he puts it, ‘I’m taking a little holiday, not retiring! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m glad I’m leaving the Gaggia brand in really good hands.’
