Coopers annouced as sponsor of Cup North

Coopers logoCoopers is showing its commitment to the burgeoning Northern coffee market by sponsoring Cup North, the first major coffee festival to take place outside of London.

The inaugural event, which started as a Kickstarter campaign, runs from 1-2 November in Salford, Manchester. The festival was established to showcase the best that the coffee industry has to offer, with a range of exhibitors and industry competitions taking place across the two days.

Alastair McElhoney, Regional Business Manager, Coopers comments: “There’s so much happening in the Northern coffee market, with the artisanal coffee scene going from strength to strength in all the major cities and towns. As a local company, supporting the market in our region is extremely important to us and we’re really proud to be a part of making this event happen.”

For the event Coopers has sourced some of the best coffees from plantations across the globe and will be serving a unique single origin Nicaragua Finca El Bosque (microlot), which is one of only six bags available in the world. It will also be conducting bespoke tastings and masterclasses for visitors on the day.

Its team of specialist baristas will be showcasing the new VA388 Black Eagle espresso machine and Mythos One grinder with Clima-Pro technology from Nuova Simonelli – which has just been announced as the official grinder at the UK Barista Championships 2015. The Black Eagle combines tradition and experience with breathtaking innovation, advanced technology and high reliability.

Coopers supplies coffee, equipment, training, category management and more to independent businesses across the UK and is part of UCC Coffee UK & Ireland, the total coffee solution provider. Find out more about Coopers at www.cooperscoffee.co.uk and Cup North at www.cupnorth.co.uk
