CMS training goes north

Crane Merchandising Systems (CMS) held its second Scottish Training Roadshow at the Livingston Football Club at the end of October.
The event, which was hosted by CMS Northern Technical Support Manager, David Bamford and Brian Oldfield, Key Accounts Technical Support Manager, was aimed at engineers and covered all common areas of technical training of CMS machines, including machine installation, operations and fault-finding.
The comprehensive training was spread over four days and consisted of six separate courses including BevMax 3, Evolution and Shopper 2.
David explained: “CMS is well known in the industry for its high level of customer support. However it can be very expensive for our customers to release engineers for training. Traditionally we are able to offer training in the south at our headquarters in Chippenham, and in the midlands at our Tamworth training centre, so I am delighted we were able to satisfy customer demand and offer this to our customers in the North and Scotland. This was clearly reflected in the high number of attendees which is very encouraging”.
George McFadden, Technical Director at Automatic Retailing (Scotland) and a Cover Group member commented: “Training has always been difficult to arrange due to our location, so when David called us regarding the Training Roadshow we were delighted that our engineers would receive training from the manufacturer on our doorstep, thus giving them the confidence and skills to service the CMS equipment.”
