CMS appoints Technical Training Manager to boost customer service

Crane Merchandising Systems (CMS) has appointed Clive Gazzard to the position of Technical Training Manager. Having previously held senior technical roles at CMS and Stentorfield, Clive joins the business from Wittern Ltd.
An important part of Clive’s role will be to review and adapt the CMS Engineer Training Programme to meet the changing requirements of our customer base. His objective will be to increase the level and relevance of technical information via service bulletins, faultfinding guides and through CMS web-based Technical Zone. He will also ensure it is delivered to our customers in a timely manner.

Reporting to Martin Agger, Clive will head up a soon to be integrated Warranty and Helpdesk department. Made up of 6 people with extensive product knowledge, the department will be utilised and deployed for the direct benefit of the customer. Clive will use information gained from the department to establish relevant technical information and additional training requirements for both our customers’ engineers and for CMS customer support staff.

Andy Porter, Managing Director of CMS – Europe, says: “CMS has long been committed to continually improving its standards of customer service and the speed of its response to Helpdesk queries. By combining the Warranty and Helpdesk departments, we can ensure that our people and their technical knowledge is effectively utilised for maximum benefit to the customer.
