Barry Callebaut cuts carbon

Barry Callebaut has succeeded in reducing its carbon footprint by -6.7 per cent in 2018/19.

This equates to a drop from 9.10 million tonnes to 8.49 million tonnes.

During the same period the company achieved a +5.1% volume growth.

The reductions are the result of the company’s Forever Chocolate Strategy, which includes the objective of storing more carbon than it emits by 2025.

The Forever Chocolate strategy aims to make sustainable chocolate the norm by 2025.
