Walkers flavour promotion drives serious sales for Comic Relief

Walkers is supporting Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day and driving some serious crisp sales with its ‘Clash of the Comics’ campaign. This engaging new flavour promotion is seeing four of Britain’s best loved comedians: Stephen Fry, Jimmy Carr, Al Murray and Frank Skinner going head to head in a hilarious battle to make their own limited edition Walkers flavour the bestseller, while aiming to raise over £1 million for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.

The rules of combat are simple – for every limited edition pack sold, Walkers donate 5p to Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day. The triumphant comedian whose flavour raises the most will be announced on Red Nose Day on 18th March, while the others will face the torturous forfeit of being waxed. Inspired by some of Britain’s best loved dishes: Stephen Fry Up, Jimmy Con Carrne, Steak and Al Pie, and Frank Roast Dinner are the new flavours capturing the imagination of British consumers.

Miranda Sambles, Marketing Director for Walkers said: “Walkers is a loved brand and a true flavour innovator with proven success at engaging the nation. We are delighted to be putting this experience to good use by teaming up with Comic Relief to help raise over £1million for this inspirational charity with the ‘Clash of the Comics’ campaign.”
