The Vendies is back and ‘open’ for entries!

The Vendies (formerly the Vending Industry Awards), is the prestigious awards programme for the vending industry, designed to recognise and reward the success, innovation and technology of the past 12 months. Organised by Datateam Business Media and Vending International, this year’s event will take place at the 5* Chelsea Harbour Hotel on Tuesday 28th June 2016.

Vending_Awards_2015_146 For the first time, The Vendies will feature manufacturer and supplier categories only. Event director Hannah Dedman explains: “Following feedback from the industry, The Vendies has undergone some changes. Every other year, beginning 2016, The Vendies will be for manufacturers and suppliers only. In the alternate years, beginning 2017, The Vendies will accompany biannual trade show AVEX and will include categories for operators, individuals, manufacturers and suppliers, as well as the prestigious Vending Industry Lifetime Achievement Award.”

In a further enhancement to the format, the 2016 event will take place during the day to offer guests more flexibility. “The great thing about a lunch time event,” said Hannah, “is that you can be there and back within a day, you don’t have to worry about overnight accommodation or being away from the office for too long. That said if you do decide to stay and network into the evening with us, you still can.”

The 5* Chelsea Harbour Hotel has fantastic conference facilities and overlooking the Thames, it’s perfect for a summer event. Guests will enjoy champagne cocktails overlooking the harbour, followed by a sumptuous three course lunch with fine wine, entertainment and award presentations for outstanding achievement.
Vending_Awards_2015_005Bryony Andrews, features editor of Vending International magazine, said: “The new Vendies format is a step forward for the event. Holding the Operator Awards every other year alongside AVEX will allow us to focus on validation and hopefully introduce some new elements to the judging process. The Vendies Manufacturer and Supplier Awards this year at the fabulous Chelsea Harbour Hotel will recognise and reward hard work and dedication to customers. Whether you win or not, entering is a great way to raise the profile of your company among your peers in the vending and water industries: the very best of luck to all candidates!”

Vending International’s journal manager, Jenny Thompson, is heading up the event’s sponsorship programme, she said “The Vendies offers companies in Water and Vending an unbeatable opportunity to reach a highly targeted and engaged audience before, during and after the event. The sooner a company books, the sooner they will start benefitting from the marketing campaign.”
