Vending International
No summer break for vending industry
Published:  01 October, 2007

Who says the summer months are quiet! There has certainly been a lot going on within our industry and during this period we have seen redundancies, personnel changes and even a management buyout - please check the news pages for a full up roundup of industry activities.

In this issue Becci looks at vending in the education sector with an update on the latest legislation including comments from the AVA and HET.

We also have interviews with KLIX’s Richard Marris and with Jonathan Skeath of Feast Point, the company which is bringing hot food to the office. Those thinking about a hot food option should really speak with such companies as there are lots of benefits including savings not only financial but in time/production to be made not to mention happy staff.

Our “Tabletop Guide” gives details of beverage machines currently available for the smaller office, conference rooms, staff rooms etc and we include pictures along with technical specifications and the manufacturer’s contact details.

Looking ahead to November’s edition we will be focusing on branded equipment and asking whether branding increases sales or is it just a matter of aesthetic preference. We’ll be giving you a first in new signage options and also updating you on Cash Handling equipment, Water & Water Treatments along with a review of Eu’Vend - Germany’s premier vending show.

If you have time to go online - www.vendinginternational-online.com - take a look at our reader survey “Would you buy your equipment from the internet?” I would be interested in your comments.

Regards

Lynda Lee
