Spanish vending machine giant, Jofemar, has announced the launch of the Series 2 version of its best selling hot food merchandiser, the Gourmet. Distributed in this country by its subsidiary, Jofemar UK, the Gourmet is the modern way to dispense nutritious hot meals automatically. The new features on the Series 2 model include fresh contemporary livery, improved graphics and enhanced LED back lighting.
SERIES 2 GOURMET
The Gourmet is an advanced hot food vending machine with a built-in microwave oven, which is well suited to self-service. Once a selection is made, the machine does the rest, reheating the food integrally in a high power microwave. The maximum time any hot product will take to dispense is 60 seconds and it may be used to vend all manner of hot food including ready meals, pizzas, hot sandwiches, baguettes, ciabattas and other “fresh from the oven” foodstuff – up to 22 selections in all. It is available with or without a refrigerator unit to serve ambient or chilled food.
NEW FOR 2010
Jofemar has given the Gourmet a complete new facelift for 2010. The Series 2 model appears more modern and impactful thanks to stylish new graphics and improved back lighting. The cabinet is finished in a sophisticated light grey colour with an aesthetically pleasing graphic filigree picked out in white on the right hand side of the machine. In addition, the backlit promotional panel is larger for improved impact. The Company has eschewed neon lighting in favour of brighter, energy saving LEDs. The Series 2 Gourmet has a larger more accessible delivery pocket, making product dispense that much easier.
FED WELL
The new livery is immediately available on the Gourmet but, as an alternative system-based approach to hot food vending, Jofemar has linked up with Pro-Pak Foods. An innovative producer of quality ambient and chilled foods based in Malton, north Yorkshire, its Fed Well brand of ready meals is increasingly stocked by supermarkets nationwide. The Gourmet is optionally available in impactful Fed Well livery, vending a wide range of delicious Fed Well ambient foods, such as Cottage Pie, Full English Breakfast or Red Thai Curry. The Gourmet machine has a generous capacity of 88 Fed Well meals.
Fed Well products are all ambient, with a 12-month shelf life from production date. It means that operators do not require specialist chilled delivery vehicles or refrigerators and the additional cost of a chiller unit in the vending machine itself is avoided. A further benefit of long shelf life stock over frozen or refrigerated products is that there is no stock wastage, so a wider range of recipes may be carried.
