United Biscuits offer retailers a share of the profits with launch of £1 Price Marked Packs
Published:  04 July, 2010

United Biscuits (UBUK), is launching a new range of £1 sharing Price Marked Packs (PMPs) across some of its most-recognisable savoury snacks brands. Available to retailers from the beginning of July, the new selection of £1 sharing PMPs includes the top selling variants of McCoy’s (Flame Grilled Steak), Hula Hoops (BBQ Beef), Mini Cheddars (Original) and Phileas Fogg Crisps (Sea Salt & Indonesian Black Peppercorn) to help retailers grow sales this summer.

Recent research conducted by him! shows that half of shoppers feel that Price Marked Packs encourage them to purchase a product. The research also highlighted that the number of consumers buying items on promotion has increased by 58% over the last year. With the sharing market worth over £550m and growing by 10%, there is a clear opportunity for retailers to exploit incremental sales by stocking UB’s full range of £1 sharing PMPs.

This range of £1 sharing PMPs will not only provide great value to the consumer but also help retailers drive sales and profits by tapping into the demand for sharing bags. The brands featured within the £1 sharing PMPs range provide the perfect snacks to enjoy with friends or family at social occasions such as BBQs or for at home entertaining at dinner parties or big nights in.

Nearly half of the purchase occasions are driven by consumers seeing the product on display so UBUK will be providing highly visible point of sale materials for these £1 sharing PMPs.
