Vending International
Fully inclusive AVA meetings
Published:  04 July, 2010

June 8 heralded a milestone in Jonathan Hilder’s diary as he achieved another one of his goals; that was to bring back the regional meetings. Having established a structure for all the 7 regions the first was held in the Potteries.

It was very well attended and for the first time ever non AVA members were allowed to attend. Jonathan’s new policy of “come along to a meeting and see before you join” seems to have paid off as 2 non members have expressed interest in joining.

Determined to keep the meetings relevant to members, it began with an operators’ forum where key subjects such as VAT, CRB checks and managing loss by control of the machine keys were discussed. The general members meeting then followed where Jonathan Hilder presented and updated members on current AVA initiatives.

The meeting was a clear success as David Houselander of Autobar commented, “It was nice to renew old acquaintances in the industry.” He was looking forward to adding his support to the activities that the AVA had planned to help the industry move forward.

The next regional meeting is planned for 7 September at the Uplands House, Devere Conference Centre in High Wycombe – full details to follow.

All members and visitors are welcome. For further information call Bridget on 020 8661 1112.
