A brand new range of seven freeze-dried coffees, as well freshbrew and espresso beans, Café Nueva is the complete coffee solution the industry has been crying out for explains Martin Armitt, marketing controller.
"We're extremely excited about this launch. Finally the vending industry will have a high quality, contemporary styled coffee range which meets their varied needs under one brand.
"We did extensive homework and it was the same story everywhere. Operators selling multiple brands because the current choice is too limiting - each offering something, but not everything they need. It was clear a solution was needed that provided everything ‘under one roof', while maintaining a feeling of value and exclusivity. And so the concept of Nueva was born."
It is this extent of range which makes Nueva unique. It provides everything an operator needs, whether that's in price range, taste or trend. For example, at the value end of the market, the Forza blend is already a strong contender in taste against the current best-seller in freeze-dried, but is set to be a winner due to its price with substantial savings on cases to be made.
Adds Martin: "At the other end of the scale, to ensure we really can offer something for everyone, the range will also include the UK's first ever, triple certified freeze dried coffee, which means it's Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance approved and organic. No-one's ever been able to achieve this before. By doing this we're able to cater for all those specifiers confused about which of these three features really pushes the buttons of an ever increasingly savvy customer and creates a sale."
It was also a must to include an espresso bean in the Nueva range, says Martin. "But we didn't stop there! We pushed to find a UK roaster able to create a blend which would taste just as good on both 3 and 9 bar machines - and we found one. And Nueva Espresso not only tastes great, it is also Rainforest Alliance Certified." A fuller flavour espresso-style roast, Freshbrew, is also in the range and both offer exceptional value for money for operators.
"Despite the number of products we've developed, we've not spent all our time in range development either. Taste is, of course, king and we really put this range through the mill on testing! But it was necessary to ensure we have range and quality that's going to really impress," he continues.
So why should operators really choose Nueva? Explains Martin: "For a start, as it's a new brand, unknown to consumers, operators can create price perception which isn't affected by brand knowledge like a popular supermarket brand is. This results in the opportunity for margins to be increased, and the quality means there's no question of its credibility.
"A new brand also offers operators additional marketing strength. Consumers are looking for contemporary brands from vending which appeal to them in the same way as high street coffee shops do. Being able to recreate this concept in vending adds real value for operators.
