The trade fair committee of EuVend, the German international vending trade fair, has decided to bring forward the event by two weeks. EuVend will now take place from September 10th-12th 2009. The committee says that the reason for the is that gamescom, the world's largest trade fair for computer games, which will take place for the first time in Cologne in 2009, has been brought forward.
"The moving forward of gamescom will affect the whole autumn trade fair calendar", says Peter Grothues, Vice-President Food at Koelnmesse, the Cologne exhibition centre. "In order to avoid overlapping, especially in the construction and dismantling periods, various trade fairs have had to change their original dates. Bringing EuVend 2009 forward by two weeks will ensure an improved construction and dismantling situation for all involved."
