Marco Beverage Systems, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of water boilers and bulk coffee brewers, is distributing water treatment systems under its own brand.
Marco recommends fitting a water filter to all its equipment. Not only does this produce a better tasting beverage, it also helps to prevent lime-scale build-up in machines, a major cause of equipment failure.
Sales Director of Marco, Chris York, explains the importance of water filtration: "As a manufacturer of water boilers and bulk coffee machines, we have seen the dramatic effects hard water can have on our equipment. Fitting a quality water filter will result in a more consistent beverage taste, improved machine efficiency and less chance of machine failure."
Marco is marketing three different types of filters. The Inline Filter is a compact unit treating 4,000 litres of water for taste/odour with some scale inhibition. It is suitable for smaller units or low use systems.
The Carbon X 7000 model includes a head with automatic shut-off valve, cartridge and piping. A carbon/polyphosphate system with a capacity of 7,000 litres, it treats taste/odour and inhibits scale and ideal for the most popular autofill water boilers.
The Dekal 30 model is for high volume and bulk coffee dispense. It is a floor-standing, combination carbon block filter with ion exchange to deal with water quality and scale build-up, and treats up to 3,000 litres.
