How to use POU coolers during a Cryptosporidium Boil Notice
Published:  09 January, 2009

It does not happen very often - but when it does you will be involved in a great deal of extra work! A Crypto Boil Notice means that you had to turn the POU water cooler off. Then, once the mains was declared Crypto free, you had to sanitise and replace the filter.

The new FILTNoCyst Filter, from AAFirst, claims to change all that! The FILTNoCyst acts as a barrier to Cryptosporidium and Giardia Cysts (as well as E Coli and Salmonella Bacteria), allowing you to continue to use POU coolers during a Boil Notice.

The new FILTNoCyst filter cartridge fits into the company's existing filter housing, and consists of a combined Carbon/Ceramic Block which makes it extremely environmentally friendly.
