The original idea came from two experienced swimmers - Thierry Alimondo (ex-waterpolo international and selected for the Olympic Games) and his father Guy (Director of Swimming for 30 years and gold medallist) - who oversee the product range. Their aim was to offer on-site everything a swimmer would need. Their vending offer also overcomes possible problems caused, for example, by unauthorised trunks and need for a compulsory swimming hat.

While the products themselves are of high quality, they not as expensive as the big brands. In France, where the system is already a big success story - for example it is claimed that over 200 machines have been sited across 250 towns - a swimsuit sells at 12 euros, goggles 5 euros and a latex hat 1.50 euro.

George Carvill, who recently launched the system into Ireland and is about to launch in the UK explained that they are offering a choice of two branded FAS machines which are fully stocked with TS-Sport products.
