New Sielissimo table-top range
Published:  20 October, 2008

Sielaff, manufacturer of quality hot beverage vendors and glass-fronted merchandisers, has announced a new range of table-top hot drinks machines under the Sielissimo brand.

There are three different variants - instant, fresh brew and bean-to-cup espresso machines. These table-tops incorporate advanced technology developed by Sielaff itself, much of which is already tried and tested in its free-standing hot drinks machines.

Hi-tech features common to all three models in the Sielissimo range demonstrate a refreshing original approach to hot drinks dispense. Of great importance, particularly to operators, is a new water system. Instead of the usual mechanical valves, which can cause so many scale related problems, Sielaff has put in pinch valves and platinum strengthened hoses. Water is pumped using peristaltic pumps. Quite apart from improved accuracy, it means that the water is never in contact with the valve or the pump itself and, as the water never touches the moving parts, there can be no scale build-up. Constant water circulation from the boiler to valve ensures a hot drink is dispensed every time.

To prevent clogging and ‘bearding' caused by steam from the hot water boiler, Sielissimo tabletop machines are all equipped with a high performance steam extraction system, which operates via stainless steel flow plates.

On the bean-to-cup model, the grinder is Swiss made and has precision grinding burrs for accurate adjustments. The brewer mechanism has been developed by Sielaff itself and built at its Herrieden factory in Bavaria. Unlike most brewers, it is made not from plastic but solid metal, making it extremely robust. Dosage may be programmed in any quantity from 7 to 14 grammes and it has heat insulated mountings and special pistons which make a brewer heater unnecessary. Alternatively, the brewer may be programmed to brew fresh leaf tea.

Sielaff UK General Manager, Karen Nash comments: "Sielissimo is a very fine range of beverage dispensers, which demonstrates a high level of empirical thinking, yet incorporating traditional Sielaff values of reliability, durability and versatility."
