The three-year deal - involving a total estimated volume of over 500 million cups in various styles and sizes - will be co-ordinated by RPC Tedeco-Gizeh's site in Port Talbot, Wales, ensuring that all manufacturing and distribution is localised for ease of service and reduced environmental impact.

Brian Tustain explains: "The AVS Cup Committee, comprising of myself, Steve Gallagher (MD of Gem Vending), Peter Wilkes (MD of Wilkes Group, Wakefield) and John Broderick senior (Manchester Vending) and under the direction of David Clough, AVS Group Purchasing Manager, spent several months putting together a tender process, which included a number of factory visits across Europe, to ensure the ability to supply of tendering companies.

"Evaluation of the quality performance of the products, critical analysis of a wide criteria of relevant issues before we got down to the tender process, was instigated. We subsequently chose RPC Tedeco Gizeh for a number of reasons. Quality performance, range versus price were the key ones, coupled with the knowledge of their dedicated and experienced main factory based in Kenfig South Wales."
