Lavazza's ˇTierra! coffee, which has won the sought-after 100 per cent sustainable certification from the Rainforest Alliance, is being introduced into the vending market.
ˇTierra! is the sustainable development project undertaken by Lavazza in co-operation with the Rainforest Alliance. The coffee is blended from beans grown in selected plantations in Honduras, Colombia and Peru, bringing together etically sourced ingredients to create a 100 per cent Arabica blend.
Lavazza claims that the blend allows customers to enjoy an ethical product without having to compromise on the quality of their coffee choice. By offering ˇTierra! As part of its OCS vending system, Lavazza is ensuring that customers can enjoy ethical coffee in their offices. There are two familiar systems to choose from, BLUE or Espresso Point, depending on the requirements of the site.
Silvio Zaccareo, Lavazza's OCS and Vending Sales and Marketing Manager, says: "The ˇTierra! Capsules appeal to coffee lovers with a desire to behave ethically in their working environment. People want to enjoy a real coffee taste with the additional assurance that coffee sourcing is meeting high standards of social, economic and environmental care. Our Rainforest Alliance certified blend does exactly that."
