Water (for Work and Home) grows with new acquisition
Published:  10 July, 2008

Water (for Work and Home), one of the largest independent UK water cooler companies, has announced its acquisition of Folkestone-based Cinque Ports, in a six-figure deal expanding the company's customer base by 10 per cent. The deal sees all Cinque Port's 800 water coolers incorporated into the business, serving in the region of 550 business and domestic customers.

Ben McGannan, Managing Director of family-owned Water (for Work and Home), said: "Cinque Ports' coolers were already in our area of operations, so we've been able to incorporate them into our existing delivery rounds. This will allow us to achieve greater efficiencies and help reduce our carbon emissions overall.

"This is our first acquisition of this size, and allows us to grow without having to build, say, a new depot or change our management structure."

The expanded business will continue to be run from Water (for Work and Home)'s base at Marden, Kent.
