The Russian National Vending Association (RNVA) has become the latest national vending body to seek membership of the European Vending Association, becoming its 19th Full Member.
Valery A. Rakitskiy, RNVA's newly-elected President said: "We were honoured by the presence of the EVA at the Moscow Vending Expo earlier in the year, and welcome the value that the EVA will bring to the Russian vending industry and its annual trade show. The Russian operators are eager to learn from their Western European colleagues and develop the vending business in Russia".
Catherine Piana, Director General of the EVA, commented: "I am pleased to welcome the Russian Vending Association into the EVA; I believe it has a huge potential, and the presence of a number of EVA members in the Russian market illustrates the interest in that sector.
"Russia is a market for new and sophisticated machines, which will contribute to positioning vending in a positive way vis-à-vis the Russian consumers and the authorities. The EVA and its members will undoubtedly benefit from the network we will create with our new Russian colleagues."
