2008 has so far proved to be a successful year for packaging manufacturer Huhtamaki. The Gosport-based manufacturer has scooped several awards for its innovations - rewarding the importance placed on developing foodservice disposables which meet market demands.
Huhtamaki's innovative bio-coated cup not only won the ‘Disposable' category at the Equipment & Supplies Excellence Awards 2008, but also the ‘Product Innovation' award at the prestigious Annual Food Packaging Association Conference. Both awards are a tribute to the cup's high quality design and manufacture. Completing the hat-trick was a top prize at the EFTA Print Awards for their Die Hard 4 Print.
Speaking of the success, John Young, General Manager, Huhtamaki UK said: "Huhtamaki has had a fantastic start to 2008. It is great to be recognised for the time and hard work we invest in designing and manufacturing innovative packaging. We understand the market and listen to what is required - our extensive product range reflects this."
