Speciality coffee at the touch of a button
Published:  16 May, 2008

"Over the last 15 years the coffee market has been revolutionised", said Elaine Higginson, Managing Director of First Choice Coffee. "From plain filter coffee to high quality espresso drinks, consumer tastes and expectations have evolved and the coffee market has moved forward to accommodate this growth. Every customer deserves a top quality cup of coffee and the fact that they may not be in a coffee shop or restaurant environment shouldn't limit their options, which is why we've incorporated a self-service facility into our award-winning, bean-to-cup Tiger machine."

The Tiger machine is a professional fully automatic bean-to-cup espresso machine and is ideally suited to vending. It grinds fresh coffee beans and textures cold refrigerated milk using patented texmilk® technology on demand. Its automatic cleaning systems for coffee and milk keeps maintenance at a minimum for operators. The compact (400mm wide) and illuminated design looks attractive on a counter-top and utilises minimal space.

The Tiger has a self-service option, making it compatible with coin and cashless systems, so it's suitable for retail as well as pre-paid or subsidised operations.

"The Tiger machine is ideal for smaller outlets like petrol or service stations," continued Elaine, "as it offers customers all the taste and quality of a freshly ground cappuccino or other espresso drinks without having to visit a specialist coffee outlet. The latest research shows that customers are prepared to pay a premium for the convenience and on-the-go coffee that vending can provide - but only if the quality of the coffee is high.

"A quality coffee offering is highly profitable to the operator. A small outlet that serves 50 speciality coffees a day can expect to make around a 65 per cent profit, while a larger operator that serves an average of 200 cups a day can expect to make as much as a 75 per cent. However, these levels are only attainable if the quality is consistent, which is why we specialise in total coffee solutions.

"The ethos behind vending is to provide the operator with a simple and easy to maintain outlet, so we offer our customers the whole package. With the right training and service, offering a bean to cup service can be a great way to boost profits."

First Choice Coffee specialises in providing total beverage solutions. Supplying high quality equipment, the best beans and premium tea along with full training and after sales support, the company's expertise is tailored to the needs of each operator and their business.
