Selecta won in the Best Convenience Innovation category for Steamplicity, a vending concept which uses steam pressure cooking to offer high-quality, great-tasting and nutritious ready meals to customers 24 hours a day. Selecta’s relationship with leading European equipment manufacturers has enabled the offer to be vended.
Vending concepts on show at Selecta’s stand during the three-day event included Coffee Tower, a new self-serve premium coffee vending offer which uses fresh milk to create high street-style and quality hot beverages, and Project Apple, a consumer-led vending concept featuring Selecta-branded can and bottle vending machines which gives the flexibility of offering a variety of brand leading products across the soft drinks sectors.
Green initiatives including the Save a Cup scheme and a prototype, glass-fronted vending machine which uses less energy were also on show and earned the company a nomination in the Best Sustainability Initiative category of the 2007 Cooler and Vending Awards. Selecta’s stand at AVEX 2007 was also re-usable and made of recyclable materials.
