Vending International
With public spaces in mind
Published:  17 April, 2008

N&W Global Vending is currently offering two machines which have been specifically developed for public spaces, which are at risk of vandalism. The Astro P (floor standing hot beverage machine), and the Sfera P (floor standing snack unit).

Both machines are hard wearing, sturdy and durable, and designed to be banked together or sited individually, depending on specific requirements.

The Astro P has the ability to withstand extreme acts of vandalism. Features such as metal selection buttons, secure door locking systems and a coffee collection point made from stainless steel make it particularly suitable for sites that require additional protection.

Security features include:

  • Anti-vandalism coin introduction system
  • Secure cup station blocks access into the machine
  • Triple door locking system
  • Armoured plates within the door cabinet.
The hot and cold Astro P has a 650-cup capacity, and stands 1830mm high, while the snack and food Sfera offers a flexible layout and capacity of up to 48 selections.

In addition, the newly re-styled version of the popular Snakky vending machine has a host of new features, making it even more secure. Notably the addition of a flat and smooth metallic interface panel to replace the existing plastic panel, and a new reinforced programmable Reilda locking system. The new locking system is placed in the metal sheet that works on a level with two hooking points, making it resistant to mild acts of vandalism, yet maintaining aesthetics. The Reilda locking system includes a variable combination cylinder lock; safety lock designed to provide maximum security against burglary, key loss etc; flexibility - easily programmed in the field.

The cylinder lock can be personalised at any time with a new combination and every time a new combination is required by a customer, the lock manufacturer will verify that it exclusive to each operator/customer. Keys have a particular shape, which make them impossible to be duplicated; and it is possible to identify locations with a specific combination - the differentiation can be made by area, technician, etc.
