Health brings wealth for Coffee Point
Published:  07 February, 2008

North Tyneside Council has turned to Coffee Point as part of their commitment to provide the borough's sports centres with healthy snacks.

Coffee Point was awarded the 5 year contract to provide facilities for a number of leisure centres based in North Tyneside. The first centre to benefit from the Coffee Point experience is the state-of the-art Lakeside Centre at Killingworth, one of the first leisure centres in the UK to be totally committed to providing healthy options, having made the decision not to stock any carbonated high sugar content drinks, full fat crisps or chocolate snacks.

Alison Gordon, facilities manager at the Lakeside Centre, said: "I can't praise Coffee Point highly enough, everything has been spot on. What's been most impressive is the amount of visits from Coffee Point to stock the machines, which means we are never in a position where customers complain - someone comes every day even at weekends. It shows real commitment from them as a company."
