The Annual General Meeting, the EVA's highest decision-making body, elected Arnaud van Amerongen by unanimous vote, on 29 November. Mr van Amerongen, supported by Hubert Boyer (the new Vice-President) and Michael Maurer (the new Treasurer), will preside over a highly charged legislative agenda for the next two years.
In his acceptance speech, the President named further challenges that the EVA would need to tackle: improving the image of vending, a better trade show policy, and building strategic alliances with other associations and industries. He also underlined the importance of conveying the good story of vending and the benefits gained by membership to the EVA, both for existing and prospective members.
