Healthy Hydration
The British Dietetic Association advises that the average adult should consume 2.5 litres of water per day. Of this, 1.8 litres, the equivalent of six to seven glasses of water per day, must be obtained directly from beverages. PHS Waterlogic, explains the benefits of drinking water and in particular water from mains fed dispensers.

Although it contains no nutrients, water is a vital component of our diet and is essential for the growth and maintenance of the body. An adult’s total body weight comprises of 50% to 70% water and it must have regular top-ups for the body's survival.

Water is lost from the body through urine and sweat, and must be replaced through the daily diet. Headaches, tiredness and loss of concentration are normally associated with dehydration and can be the body’s sign to drink more water.

Chronic dehydration can contribute to a number of health problems particularly for the digestive system, because it contributes to the constant supply and export of products and substances. The body needs water to regulate body temperature and to provide the means for nutrients to travel to all the organs. Water also transports oxygen to cells, removes waste, and protects the joints and organs.

The most convenient way to provide drinking water requirements is through a dependable vending company and when looking at the various water facilities available, mains fed water dispensers offer consistently pure, clean and reliable water. Providing continually high quality water, the best in water hygiene, mains fed dispensers are ideal for offices, businesses and any environment where customers and clients may expect refreshments.

In comparison to bottled water alternatives, there is no need to worry about the temperature of the water, bottles running out or ordering new supplies and the common health and safety hazard of lifting heavy bottles to fit onto the machine is eliminated. With a 29.8% growth in the point of use market and a 5% decline in the bottled water cooler industry then this indicates the customer’s preference moving towards mains fed dispensers.

Partnering with a reputable water supplier such as PHS Waterlogic, Europe’s leading supplier of mains fed water dispensers offers benefits in not only the technical support and bespoke installations but in its experience in working with trade suppliers throughout the UK. The ability to offer experienced service to maintain and expand distributor channels will promote long-term successful relationships.

Water is essential for the body and mind to function and it is imperative that individuals are presented with clean, pure water to hydrate. Mains fed water dispensers offer the most hygienic and environmentally friendly solution over bottled water. Mains fed water is a completely reliable solution, reducing the hassle and responsibility that comes with other drinking water alternatives.
