One of the world’s largest paper and packaging products company, International Paper, has announced the appointment of Mike Gardner to the role of Sales and Marketing Director in its European Foodservice operation.
Mike is well-known to many Foodservice operators in the UK and Europe, thanks to his previous stints at Veriplast, Tchibo Coffee and Mars. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has built up a vast knowledge of the Foodservice industry. He is relishing the opportunity, incumbent in his new role, to extend his knowledge and provide European customers with International Paper’s innovative, cost-effective and environmentally conscious foodservice solutions, particularly in the fast growing paper cup sector.
“I spent some time in the business as a consultant prior to coming on board,” said Mike, 51, “so I have been aware of the company’s potential for some time. Bearing in mind IP’s plans for growth in the UK and Europe and its excellent world-wide reputation, the chance to join the organisation and be part of this development was very attractive.”
Mike takes up his new post with immediate effect.
