Volvic voted the ‘greenest soft drink'
Published:  05 October, 2009

Following the successful relaunch in March this year, Danone Waters has announced that the Volvic brand has been recognised as the greenest soft drink in an independent assessment of grocery products.

The assessment, run by researchers in association with the University of Nottingham, scored a range of grocery products across a number of categories from laundry detergent to tea on a number of factors, including packaging and energy needs. It found that Volvic was the greenest soft drink and that the brand came 4th overall - way ahead of any other soft drinks.

The new ‘Go Green' packaging on Volvic signals to consumers through explicit messaging on-pack the ongoing commitment to sustainable projects that help people and the environment. The new packaging also encourages consumers to recycle and clearly highlights that Volvic bottles are 100% recyclable and that the bottles are made with a proportion of recycled plastic.
