The EVA at Green Week
Published:  30 July, 2009

The Green Week is the biggest annual conference on European environment policy.  In its ninth edition held 23-26 June 2009 in European Commission's Charlemagne Building, Brussels, the European Commission focused on climate change, under the slogan "Climate change: act and adapt". For the second consecutive year, the European Vending Association attended the event as an exhibitor.

The topic of climate change was examined at length with discussions and debates between high-level speakers from Europe and beyond. European Commission President, José Manuel Barroso, participated in the final session, and assured those present that climate change is and will remain one of the most important challenges for the European Commission.

Parallel to the debates and discussions was an exhibition space for all the exhibitors. The European Vending Association was, once again, selected amongst hundreds of candidates to hold a stand. The Association has represented its members through their "green initiative"".

The European Vending Association fully supported the participation from some of its members, who made power point presentations and who exposed promotional material that was handed out on the EVA stand, and would like to thank them for their cooperation: Azkoyen, Bravilor Bonomat, Brita, Coges, FAS, Huhtamaki, Jofemar, Kraft Foods, Mars Drinks, MEI Group, NAVSA, Nestlé, N&W, Sanden Vendo, Selecta, Sielaff and Vendin'.
