The ScaleGard Pro range protects vending machines and coffee equipment from detrimental scale build-up that can dramatically reduce the often hidden costs related to increased energy consumption, machine downtime and unnecessary servicing. 3M utilises a simple, quick change system with ‘valve in head' technology which facilitates the change out of a used filter in just seconds without having to turn off the water supply. More traditional ion exchange resin units can take up to 10 minutes to replace.

The range also uses a one head, multiple solution approach and offers a wide choice of flow capacity and micron ratings from over 20 different media configurations. Many of the products include cyst rated carbon blocks designed to remove potentially harmful water borne parasites like cryptosporidium which can penetrate some water supplies and silverised carbon blocks to inhibit bacteria growth. The range also combines optional scale control for hot water dispensing systems.

3M will also feature their AP range of water filters designed for point of use water dispensers and coolers. The AP2 and AP3 model types are designed specifically to deliver a high quality drinking water from a mains water supply.
