Starting out as a small catering company in Holmfirth, they moved into vending in 1974 and started a contract cleaning division five years later, by which time CSG was employing some 500 people.

As the business grew, so did the Midgley family. Son Simon joined the company in 1981 and subsequently worked in every division before becoming Chief Executive Officer. Daughter Linsey is also heavily involved as Company Secretary and Director.

Today, the catering and vending company turns over some £30 million and employs over 2,000 people.

Simon Midgley explained: "The company has changed beyond recognition over the past 40 years. From two vehicles we now operate a 100-strong fleet serving customers on a national basis."
