Jan Schürmann is the new Chairman, and Jan Dobry takes over as CEO.
After 25 years as a Member of the Board and having served since 2000 as Chairman of SwissPrimePack AG, previously known as Bellaplast and Albiplast AG, Dr. Hans-Jürg Schürmann has decided to step down as Chairman. Dr. Schürmann will continue to be closely involved with SwissPrimePack AG and will remain an active Member of the Board.
The new Chairman will be Jan Schürmann, who has been successfully running the company as CEO since 2008. He took over as Chairman on October 1, 2014, driving forward the
strategic focus and development of the company and liaising with operational management. As Chairman of Europe’s Convenience Food Packaging Association, Pack2Go Europe, he will continue to represent the interests of the company and the industry at European level.
The new CEO of SwissPrimePack AG Jan Dobry took also on his new position on October 1, 2014. Mr. Dobry studied at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and started his career at Rieter AG in Winterthur, where he had various international responsibilities in restructuring and business process engineering before becoming Head of Finance and Administration for one of the divisions. In 1997 he joined Plaston AG in Widnau as Head of Finance and Management Services; in June 1999 he was promoted to CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors, positions he successfully held for over ten years. Since 2011 he has been managing director of both a solar industry start-up and a plastics processor focused on injection molding for warehousing and logistics solutions.
