Following the recent news that Apple is revolutionizing payment methods with Apple Pay technology, Lucozade Ribena Suntory has announced that its cashless payment vending machines will all offer the service with immediate effect.
Georgina Thomas, category director at Lucozade Ribena Suntory, says: “We know that payment by mobile device is predicted to treble within the next five years and we wanted to enable operators to capitalise on this by accepting Apple Pay on our cashless vending machines. We are really proud of the vending proposition that we are able to offer customers, with our touchscreen technology and shopping cart functionality and this latest innovation provides another function that will make our machines even more convenient and user-friendly. In fact, the first official Apple Pay transaction in the UK on a vending machine was one of ours, at a Pure Gym venue, which is really exciting and shows the strong appeal of the service.”
The Lucozade Ribena Suntory cashless payment vending machines previously accepted payment from any cashless wallet and now Apple Pay has been introduced it broadens the service even further. Nayax is the company’s cashless payment partner and is one of Apple Pay’s key merchants, meaning that the process has been extremely smooth and fast to implement.
