High flying BWCA Members get on their bikes for good causes

WaterLogic, a member of the British Water Cooler Association (BWCA), is supporting the association’s chosen charity, Just a Drop as well as the company’s own chosen good cause, the Make a Wish Foundation.

The latest in a series of fundraising efforts by BWCA members is the initiative of the Milton Keynes Model Helicopter Club. Waterlogic’s Kevin Matthews, club secretary and treasurer, has pulled together colleagues and club members to complete the London to Brighton Cycle Ride on September 17.

The team comprises: Kevin Matthews; Baz Wooton, chairman of the club; Bob Buttery, Phil Emerton Andy Kirby, club safety officer Dave Young and BWCA chairman and MD of Waterlogic John Dundon. Waterlogic UK has also generously sponsored the entrance fees, funded T shirts and provided support for transport. Other members are helping with the training as they cannot be on the ride. Northgate Vehicle Hire has sponsored a minibus.

Louise Geoghegan, events & partnerships manager of Just a Drop, said: “We’re very grateful for all of the incredible fundraising efforts undertaken by BWCA members, the latest of which is Waterlogic’s sponsored cycle. Best of luck to those taking part and a huge thank you, your efforts will transform the lives of many with clean water and sanitation.”

Just a Drop is an international water development charity bringing clean safe water and sanitation projects to communities, transforming lives. This is the second year that BWCA has supported the charity and already the Association and its Members have funded two new water sources in Africa, transforming the lives of people in two villages.
