Heart of England fine foods makes a meal of healthy eating

With the reduction in the number of children now eating school meals announced on 3 October by Ofsted, not for profit regional food group, Heart of England fine foods (HEFF) is driving a pioneering solution which meets the needs of pupils, parents and teachers for improved healthier eating.
HEFF, the region’s food champion, is rolling out an innovative project to steer pupils towards its popular vending solution, the V-Machine which offers nutritious break and lunchtime food and drink, supplied by producers from within the region.

HEFF has also launched its branded fruit smoothie bars, the S Bar, to local schools with produce again supplied by local growers.

For schools taking a V-Machine or an S Bar, school workshops run by HEFF for both pupils and parents, can also be arranged to highlight the benefits of healthy eating, and offer the chance to meet the local producers. Any school wanting a V-machine or S Bar should call HEFF on 01746 785185.
