Drury appoints new Barista trainer

The Drury Tea & Coffee Company, leading London based tea blenders and coffee roasters, has announced the appointment of a new Barista Trainer, Christelle Langer.

Christelle hails from South-East Belgium, but has had plenty of experience in the true Italian way of making espresso coffee, having been a barista in Florence for over two years. Most recently, she has also picked up the British perspective working in a coffee shop in Hackney, East London. French is her native tongue and she is also fluent in Italian and speaks perfect English.

Drury takes the role of Barista Trainer very seriously and conducts regular espresso training with clients’ staff on their own premises and also runs courses at its London showroom. Besides these duties, Christelle is further charged with the responsibility for evolving the course content to meet changing client requirements and new market developments.

Drury Director, Marco Olmi, welcomed Christelle to the Company with these words: “Well trained staff are arguably the most important factor in producing consistently good coffee. That is why we place such an emphasis on this aspect of our business. Christelle is technically very sound with plenty of hands on experience in the coffee market. Already she is showing herself to be very capable and self-motivated and her fluency in three languages will be a great asset in such a culturally diverse city as London.”
