Burns Night postponed

The Automatic Vending Association has postponed its Burns Night event as a result of last week’s weather disruptions.

Dalmahoy Hotel

Though retaining its Scottish theme, the event will now take place on Friday, March 16 over St Patrick’s weekend.

Chief executive Johnathan Hart said: “The event will retain its Scottish theme but we hope that, in combining the best of these two great nations, the night will turn into an even larger celebration.”

If you’ve already completed a booking form, there’s no need to do anything more, but those who were unable to join in on the original date can still book.

This year the event will be held at Dalmahoy Hotel seven miles from Edinburgh’s city centre.

A  traditional bagpiper will greet guests on arrival, while a live band “The Scraggly Cats” will also be returning to Dalmahoy to provide a fun fusion of Ceilidh music, classic Scottish songs and pop anthems and to perform the Robert Burns poem “The Address to the Haggis”.
