BRITA continues support of project waterfall at London Coffee Festival

BRITA Professional has helped raise over £3,500 for charitable initiative, Project Waterfall at the recent London Coffee Festival.

BRITA raised the funds by working closely with Project Waterfall to set up hydration stations which were located throughout the festival where visitors were able to help themselves to BRITA filtered water and donate to a good cause at the same time.

The water challenge saw visitors being put to the test in a timed challenge to see how long they could hold a jerry can full of water weighing 20kg, the same weight often carried by women and children in marginalised communities to collect water. Overall, 180 people took part in the challenge, with all donations matched by BRITA. The underlying message of the challenge was to highlight the daily struggles faced by some communities in the world just to access clean water.

Glenn Roberts, sales director, BRITA Professional, said: “We want to thank everyone who supported Project Waterfall at this year’s London Coffee Festival. The money raised will go towards providing clean water and sanitation to the coffee growing communities who make our daily cup of coffee possible. We’re delighted to continue our support of the tremendous work Project Waterfall does with the communities that help build and shape our industry.”
